TSC TPAD – Teacher Service Commission
TSC has developed this Teacher Performance Appraisal and Development (TPAD) system with the anticipation of supporting teachers to improve in their teaching competencies.
TPAD which an open appraisal system will allow teachers in primary and secondary schools to participate in evaluating their own performance and initiate their professional development.
Through this appraisal and development system, it is envisaged that teachers will become more empowered to regain the lost glory of the teaching profession and earn public confidence and support.
This is in line with the TSC Code of Regulations for teachers in Kenya, regulation 52 (1), that requires the commission to develop an open appraisal system for all teachers.
At the end of the day, once a teacher submits their form on TPAD, TSC will get to know of the following from them; (used approved schemes of work, lesson plans, lesson notes, records of work, text books, teaching/learning aid, availability of tests/examinations, marking scheme, learners marked exercise books, marked text papers, individualized education programs, timely syllabus coverage and so on).
